Black Dirt Restaurant Opens!

In January 2018, Black Dirt opened in the South Plaza neighborhood of Kansas City, MO. The owner and chef, Johnathan Justus, received a James Beard nomination for his food from his first restaurant, Justus Drugstore, located in Smithville, MO. When you visit Black Dirt you can enjoy a meal created with locally sourced ingredients while sitting under a tree root turned chandelier, designed by Justus himself. The restaurant is located inside of 51Main, a $40 million apartment and retail development. We had a blast being a part of the team that designed this much anticipated restaurant!
